How to tell parents about my self harm issues?

i have always kept everything from my parents... i would rather die before i let them know i was in soo much emotional pain... i know this is wrong.. i'm not recommending that u do that... i cut.. my parents have no idea... they have no idea who their real daughter is.. i like it that way... my counsellor knows... and my gf.. that's it...
