What is a hotel that is close to the power and light district in Kansas City, MO?

We are driving to KC for a friends bday from Omaha, NE. We know the power and light district is the "party" area or atleast the area that has alot of bars. So we want to find a place close by that we might be able to walk to and from. I found one but I am not sure if it is that close or not. Is Downtown Kansas City and Crown Center Hotel a good hotel?
