Taking a vacation in Haiti?

I recently got a school project (have to make a brochure on a country that we pick out of a hat). My teacher said he didn't care if we traded with someone. My dad is from Haiti and I thought it would be cool to do it on Haiti. I picked up a book on Haiti and my teacher said, "I wouldn't do Haiti. If I had already vacationed everywhere else BUT Haiti, I'm still not sure I would want to go there." It sort of bothered me so I am trying to find good reasons for someone to want to go on vacation in Haiti. Help!
