How to get rid of annoying woodpecker?

I have a redheaded woodpecker banging on my metal smoke stack to my fireplace. I have put up a owl decoy, but it didn't work, even though the exterminator said to try it!!! This bird is scaring my 1 yr old and driving the rest of us crazy.. I looked and all I saw was a few wasps near the smoke stack..and figured that's why the woodpecker is near my fireplace smoke stack..A neighbor suggested a snake decoy although the owl decoy failed. Any ideas?
