What do I do about a negative boyfriend who I love very much?

I am very happy all the time. I feel that laughter heals. He will call me in the early am and complain about how stupid people drive. We watch the Bronco game together and after 20 seconds into it he always determines we are going to loose, then proceeds to get mad for the rest of the game. I talk about my sisters 40th Bday next year, and where to go. Suggestion: Mexico, vacation house. He doesn't want to be there for a week unless is it just us, and the water is cold on the Pacific side?? Please help me with any suggestions. I just wish he would quit. He brings me down all the time.
