How can i prevent my cat from jumping on the tree and playing with the ornaments??????

im really worried when im not home hes gonna jump on the tree and itll fall on him and break somthing or he'll get hurt!!! any tips??? i dont wanna have to lock him in the bathroom but thats the only solution i can come up with!
